I just found a new favorite Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor: Willie Nelson’s Country Peach Cobbler Ice Cream. It is described as “Peach Ice Cream with Cinnamon Sugar Shortbread Pieces & a Peach Swirl.”
With ice cream I tend to favor the pure fruit flavors, though every now and then I’ll go for chocolate. My previous favorite Ben and Jerry’s flavor was just plain raspberry ((In fact I love just about product that is primarily based on the raspberry - pie, jam, ice cream, etc. - for a nice detour check out the wikipedia entry for “raspberry“)) - but I haven’t seen that Ben and Jerry’s flavor in stores for years. I don’t think it exists anymore.
I’m generally less crazy about ice creams that have a lot of nuts and cookies mixed in - though I certainly don’t mind adding toppings to make a sundae.
All I can say is that this new Ben and Jerry’s brand is a keeper. I really hope it stays around. The Ben and Jerry’s website actually has a “flavor graveyard” page for all the ice creams it doesn’t make anymore.
