I drew and colored this on a subway train. Art on an index card. What more could anyone ask for … but I’d much rather draw than fill in a crossword or solve a sudoku puzzle.
This is colored with pencil. I don’t normally use colored pencil much … I find that colored marker creates a more even and precise layer of color. Still, it’s important to experiment with different mediums and discover what they can do for you and it’s just as much fun to work with pencil as with pen. And let’s be honest here … I have mainly worked with pen and ink because that is what has been most conveniently available.
As is often the case, I like the negative of the image better than the original.
I was checking out a post at Tachyon City, a post with some great pictures of hand-carved pumpkins. I liked it and thought I’d leave a comment and then got the following message, a message I’ve never seen before as a response from a WordPress blog.
“Your comment was rejected as your browser’s user agent has changed since you viewed the post.”
Honestly, I have no idea what that means. Maybe a coder or techie out there could enlighten me.
When people put up links on a public news website, they should think a little bit about what wording they choose to use. I was checking out CNN.com today and saw an article link with wording that seemed a bit unusual:
“Pit bulls kill cancer boy’s miniature horse” … (see image below)
Cancer Boy … sounds like some kind of odd superhero name, but the whole link title is just plain unusual.
After the link was clicked, it brought you to an article with a slightly more appropriate title: “Pit Bulls Kill Miniature Horse Donated To Cancer-Stricken Child”
“Just because he’s religious doesn’t mean he won’t kick your ass.”
Thus Dr. Cameron expresses her belief that the Mormon character on the show (Dr. Cole) will eventually respond loudly and/or violently, if Dr. House keeps goading him. This leads to Dr. House betting a $100 bill that Dr. Cole will not be provoked.

Despite all the nasty remarks, Dr. Cole is keeping his cool, at least for awhile. Being the fair and square guy that he is, House isn’t going to coast to a victory, so he escalates his offensive remarks. Then comes the following scene …

All in all, it was a fun episode. Dr. Cole is a very interesting and atypical Mormon character. But I like that about him …
[Note: I posted previously about this new Mormon character on the show]
