One time I bought at Target for $19.95 a single package containing THREE USB cables. I wonder if they still have such a deal.

I had the exact same issue when I bought a new printer from Dell -- no USM cable included. VERY aggravatting.

I don't understand why they do this! It drives me nuts too! Brian, the only problem with refillable cartridges is they void your printer warranty. I guess that doesn't matter because these printers usually die after 9 months anyway.

Printers without cable has been an issue for a long time. Back when printers used the old block LPT cables they didn't come with them. Had to buy those seperately.

When I worked for a computer retailer the only "excuse" we could come up with is "manufacturers don't know how long a cable you will need". Of course ANY length cable is better then no cable.

One of my prior jobs was managing a stockroom for a semiconductor manufacturer. I made sure I had a supply of computer parts on hand for moments just like these!

One way to take a bite out of the printer mfg's is to buy remanufactured printer cartrdiges or refill your own cartridges.
