Willie got a good push on The Colbert Report, because his flavor came out after Ben & Jerry released "Steven Colbert's Americone Dream" early this year. [Steven, of course, claimed to be offended that B&J had released another flavor this year in competition with his.]

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find either flavor in local stores. Living in New York City, I would have assumed that I could at least find the Colbert flavor.

I'll have to look harder. Given my waistline, I tend to not look to hard at the frozen desert cabinet.

Ben There,

Yesterday I tried a different Ben and Jerry's flavor called "Dave Matthew's Band Magic Brownies" which involves vanilla icecream, brownies and a raspberry swirl. It was amazing.

I suppose that the "magic brownies" title is attempting to evoke the rock'n'roll pot brownie concept - though I agree that Willie Nelson would seem to be the appropriate sponsor.

Laura, I'll have to look for that flavor. Don't think I've tried it.

Well, I will certainly have to try it! My current favorite is Blue Bunny, Cherry Bordeaux---it is the devil. You will feel you have sinned when you are eating it. Let's just say I have to repent more than I should!

For some reason the thought of Willie Nelson endorsing desserts does not lead me to peach ice cream. Pot brownies, now that's a real Willie Nelson dessert.
