I don't think putting a pedigree on a blog would be easy, or desirable. Not even a Register Report, in my opinion, which will never be humble. BUT...I do think Family Group Sheets would be well received.

Quick, easy-to-read items are the main staples of blogs. And Family Group Sheets would work well. There are a few other charts or forms that might, too.

I've several standard and a few unique forms on my FREE website: http://www.ShoeStringGenealogy.com/ssg1.htm. Come take a look and I hope you enjoy your time.

Happy Dae.

My apologies. I saw the file attached to the thread with that title, and assumed it was a plugin. Reading the thread more throughly I see that you are correct. That thread is more about installing them side by side with a uniform look.

I am surprised that there isn't a plugin for wordpress, as users have made TNG plugins for several CMS's including Nuke, Mambo/Joomla, and droopal, to name a few.

Marcus, I don't actually see a plugin - it looks like it's just a way to set up a script in the program.

Marcus, I love the idea of a WordPress genealogy plugin. Thanks for providing this information.

After I posted the link, I found that someone had created a TNG/Wordpress Plugin. It's available on the TNG support site: http://www.tngforum.us/index.php?showtopic=2181

For Genealogy stuff on the web, I use Darrin Lythgoes, TNG Genealogy software. There's not a specific plugin for integrating Wordpress and TNG, but it should be pretty easy to install them side by side, and keep the look consistent between applications.

It's $29, but well worth it in my opinion. http://lythgoes.net/genealogy/software.php

Annegb,

I had a similar experience in recent months - where a story from my family history helped me take an interest in doing genealogy.

That story from your family history certainly sounds very interesting.

It's a good thing that I stumbled on here, Daniel, because since I got involved with that Mountain Meadow thing -- total serendipity, I think I'm being bitten with the family history bug.

I'm even thinking of taking a day and exploring cemeteries, to get the full story. I know her name now--the girl--although I have no proof she was in the massacre. But I know three of her direct descendants--they've all heard the story, too, I'm inclined to believe it's true.

Two of them are related to me, but on the other side of the story.

I should probably be posting this on MM. Oh well.
