I loved this film, we got free tickets from a radio channel when it was released here a while ago. Since then I have told everyone I know to see it. I want to find those recordings to throw on my ipod, i've tried looking but haven't found them, anyone know?

Off topic -- I liked your Radio Blog player so much I'm about to install it on my site.

I'm surprised you don't have David Wilcox's "East Asheville Hardware" on your playlist. That song kills me.

Danithew,

Thanks for putting these two numbers on the radio. I saw the DVD and have longed to hear David Johanson's renditions ever since.

The only thing more poignant than the songs was the prayer Brother Kane gave in the green room just before the group went on -- unless it was the comment by the sweet little old "groupie" in the FHC.

Annegb, the songs are either during or after the credits. Maybe both. Look at the special features or whatever and you should be able to find them.

Tom, I liked the rawness of these songs as well. The accompaniment by harmonica and acoustic guitar + a distinctive gritty voice was a winner for me.

Susan, my feeling is that this DVD can appeal to all kinds of people - particularly people who are truly interested in all kinds of people finding and embracing the gospel. Every conversion story is unique and I love conversion stories. That, plus the rock'n'roll aspect, make this DVD a lot of fun.

It was interesting to hear my bishop say that he liked this movie.

I put this dvd on when my in-laws were visiting, they found it interesting/entertaining, and I wasn't sure they would. My mother-in-law even said she'd pick up copies for her other kids.

I hear you. Those renditions were so raw and real. Miles more listenable for me than the treacly, pretty stuff we usually get.
