Anna Politkovskaya
Until today I had never heard of Anna Politkovskaya. Now that she has been murdered, I am reading about her personally heroic and courageous efforts as a journalist to make the world a better place. Her untimely violent death is a major injustice and a tragedy. There should be a serious investigation into what happened and her killer or killers should be brought to justice.
About The Author
Her death is a tragedy, and a clear example of the direction that Russia is taking. I wouldn’t be surprised if Putin knew about the incident.
Drudge is publishing reports of torture and Putin’s involvement. Do you know more about this? I thought he was a moderate.
My understanding is that Putin has been abridging Russian freedoms and doing what he can to centralize his power. My instinct is that he shouldn’t be completely trusted. However, I am not an expert on Russian politics.
Putin is in no way a moderate. He’s very right wing, and perfectly fine with going back to the days of the tzar.
