Hoping For A Subway Series

Just for the record, I am hoping for a subway series. That means, to a point, I’ll be rooting for the Mets … but only so that they’ll ultimately lose to the Yankees in the World Series.

Update 1: after losing only one game, the Tigers have played a series of great baseball games and defeated the Yankees. The Tigers have every right to be proud of their achievement. The Yankees have a lot of explaining to do.

Update 2: Finally a proper explanation for why the Yankees lost so quickly.

Me too, Dan. It’s too bad the Mets’ starting rotation has so many late season injuries.

Yes it is too bad. I’m not sure how well the Mets will do without Pedro and El Duque. But we’ll see.

My wife and I were disappointed that the Yanks lost so easily to the Tigers. But you could see which team played to win, with Tigers diving for balls, and taking the extra base, etc. They were just simply outplayed. My wife is a bigger fan, having lived in NYC for seven years. I’m still a Bostonite. :)
